To provide a space where the young people can sit and gather on evening meetings, we have cleared out an area once used as a greenhouse. With some of the large number of old bricks donated by some local builders we have laid a floor and will install some seeting around a central flat area we will have a fire pit - scouts just love fires.
To the side of the allotment we have found a buired stone trough and after clearing some of the piled up rubbish and weeds, we have found as small stream bed with a spring at the top of the site. We have openned up this area as a water feature with the spring now protected by a brick archway and stone stream channel leading to the water trough - protected for the moment in case wild animals fall in and cannot escape.
